The school will be in it's second overall year in existence, led by Principal Jay Novacek (ST Aquinas alumni; Previously of Olathe South-Northwest), and AD Pat Butler (SM South Football alumni.)

SFL Leaders - 1954-2019

Have you ever wondered what happen to that legendary coach of yours that you once played for in High 

school as a Sunflower alumnus, or perhaps, where they may have left to teach after your school? 

While they are long since retired, or perhaps still Coaching, their stories of practice, or even game day 
planning against the local rival is long since talked about after their leaving the hallways of your school. 

In the modern day Sunflower League, in the near future all 13 schools, it is hard to find tenure like these

Teacher-Coaches have or did accomplish in their time with the storied student-athletes who in turn build the

schools legacies on the field. Some love, some hate, some fun days in the weight room, and crappy 

two-a-days in an old era of Coaching are hard to find. Friday nights are Friday nights and without these

Coaches "Dads" to some, teachers, friends, confidant's, mentors, and much more were able to mold your 

character in one way or another long after your playing days were complete.
