Raven's Hire: Aaron Hafner of Luther College, IA D-III
The Olathe Northwest Ravens hire Aaron Hafner, formerly of Luther College, of the NCAA D-III of Decorah, IA.
Aaron Hafner, is a Pittsburg State alumni '97, and has spent the previous five (5) years roaming the collegiate sidelines. Prior to attending Pittburg State, he was a standout Football player for the Frontenac Raiders in the early 90's.
In his time with the Luther Norse, he compiled a 20W-30L in 50 GC-400 W%. In his first season alone, in 2013, the Norse began to rebuild their program from a 0-10 record to 2-8. Progression of the team became evident of his good work after his third season on the job. All games took place in the IIAC (Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.) Prior to coming to Luthor he also held a position Assisting his brother Todd Hafner who is in his 14th year as Head Coach at William Penn.
Coming to Olathe Northwest, he will bring additional Coaching experience at the High School level with him. From 1998 to 2001 he was an Assistant Coach with the Webb City MO Cardinals, and part of the 2000 Class 4A Championship team. In 2002, he was appointed Head Coach for Francis Howell Central of STL, and then Republic High School MO from 2003 to 2006.
This will be a fresh start for the Ravens entering the 2018 season. At this time, it will be hard to determine what will take place in the upcoming Fall season. One big question, will, and if, the Olathe Owls knock off the Ravens.
