Worst Loss: Week 9: 0-49 vs. Kearney (14-1)
Points/Game: 28.7ppg
Points Allowed/Game: 25.8ppg
Sunflower League Opponent:
SM Northwest Cougars
Summary:
To say the Bulldogs are losing a TON of talent would be an understatement. This team has move on without a quarterback, their leading rusher, and their top three receivers. On the flip side, the offense wasn't very eye-popping last year despite the high PPG rate which can be misleading. The offense benefited greatly by taking on plenty of lesser teams and managed to score big in those weeks while managing to score some in blowouts against upper-tier schools.
Grandview is in that grey area where the loss of so many starters and contributors can't be determined as either a good or bad thing. The team was average overall, but they weren't so bad to suggest the next generation is a sure bet to do better all of a sudden. SM Northwest will still be rebuilding in hopes of making progress, but this game may be a test of perseverance after a tough loss.
